DescriptionKinder Freizeithaus is a community center and adventure playground for kids and families in Allschwil.
The Outdoors This is one of my son's favorite playgrounds and mine too. One of the things that attracts me most to this park is the wonderful example of reusing reclaimed materials and loose parts to create an extremely engaging play experience for children. Children can explore the hand built multi-level wooden play structure where they can challenge themselves to climb to new heights. Note that these structures are not for the faint of heart given that they are 3 stories tall with quite large gaps between the rails. However my 4 year old loves to explore them and tell about discovering secret passage ways or how high he can climb. My son plays for hours dragging around found objects or scavengine for wooden planks to build new ramps and bridges to add to this amazing structure In addition to play structures and a magnificent wooden pirate ship, one will find animal enclosures for donkeys, goats and chickens. The yard also includes a tree swing, trampolines and a large fire pit for kids to chop wood and build a fire (with moderate supervision). It also has a great sand and water play area stocked with a collection of toys and shovels, and water feature where children can splash in the summer or even use mason jars to try and catch tiny fish that live in there too. The Inside Inside you will find a generously furnished wooden house with a cozy game room and lounge. One room full of pillows invited the children to build forts or simply grab a book and relax and read. A large workshop, equipped with tools and many different materials to be creative. |
