DescriptionRobi Muttenz is a wonderful community center and adventure playground, located in Muttenz, Basel, where children can build, tinker, run, hide, and climb to their hearts content. You will find a vast number of tree houses to explore and help build. The main feature that makes this Robi Spielplaz stand out from the rest is the inclusion of the Robibahn steam trains that run throughout the park.

The Muttenzer-Robi-Bahn, is heaven for little railway enthusiasts who want to enjoy close contact with a steam locomotive. The Muttenzer-Robi-Bahn, or MRB for short, is a special feature of the Robinson Playground Muttenz. On designated days, or during special events-such as birthday parties, or the spaghetti dinner, children can ride along the MRB. The route runs through the Robinson's playground and was built mainly from scrap material and with great attention to detail and includes proper stations, barriers and tracks. A team of 15 young people driving the locomotives, punch tickets and operated the switchboard. Robibahn Information The train runs on specific dates and a ride costs 50 cents. You can purchase a single tickets or subscription. |

- Free to visit the park but recommended to join as a club member if you visit often. Robinson Club members are families who come to the playground and feel united with the Robinson playground. The annual fee for families CHF 15.
- GETTING THERE
- Plenty of parking available at Robinson's play area, but also the Muttenz train station is not far away, where good connections consist of bus and train.
- By bus or train, get off at the stop Muttenz station. Then you go about 8 minutes on foot. Follow Grenzacherstrasse on the bridge. On the bridge, after 200 meters (after they have crossed the tracks) you go right down to the Hardacker # 6.
