DESCRIPTIONKannenfeldpark is the largest park in Basel, it has more trees than the other ones and is protected behind a wall. It has several different playgrounds, a small cafe, and a paddling pool with rolling cement hills typically used by children on scooters during the colder months when the water is drained out.
The playgrounds are spread out and different ones are more suited for different ages. Some are quite tall and challenging with daring twisting slides making them fun for older children. Others are small with swings and sandboxes perfect for toddlers. One side of the park has a beautiful rose garden where you can relax in the sun. Nearby is a covered room which is possible to rent for parties. There are so many places beneath the trees to picnic and play ball or run around gathering chestnuts. A fun activity would be to search for the "hidden" laughing giant. 😉 |
