DescriptionSchützenmattpark is one of the largest public parks in Basel. It was built in 1899 as a national park with a large, tree-lined play meadow, a bungalow with a music pavilion and various children's play areas. Under a beautiful old trees, there are benches, various children's play areas, including a newly build splash pad, playground equipment that encourages adults to play together with children, handicap merry go around, a pavilion with cafe and a kiosk with a public toilet.
Game shack on the Schützenmatte: The Robispiel organizes exciting game afternoons and cool projects and help to ensure that the children enjoy the best possible ways to play. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon games and play materials can be borrowed. Open: May to October. Closed during the summer holidays! |
