DescriptionI believe that this playground is the most visually stimulation as it feels both like an art installation as much as a child's playground. Toddlers and big kids find many opportunities for climbing, hanging, balancing and jumping. There is a chaotic wooden structure tower to navigate and a pile of railway sleepers to hide beneath. Lovely sound elements such as swinging disks mounted on steel walls or steel bands, which are to be struck with mallets, enabling sensory experiences.
In the summer months there is a water play area for children to jump and bounce through puddles and work together to playfully control the water flow. Update: Further building construction is underway and appears to change the feel of the open playground a bit. Tall buildings added to a more closed in feeling than the park had in 2013. But it is still a lovely park. There is a nice play cafe nearby and restaurant too. |
